Michael's Bio
Since 1981, Michael has practiced as a full-time litigator and dedicated himself to representing injured persons in personal injury, wrongful death and workers’ compensation cases. During that period, he has prided himself in maintaining client contact throughout every case and represented countless individuals in groundbreaking cases before the Workers’ Compensation, Superior and Supreme Courts. Specifically, he represented dozens of victims in The Station nightclub fire case from 2003–2010.
In recognition of the successes he has achieved for his clients, Michael has consistently been selected to Rhode Island’s list of Super Lawyers, and for the past decade, he has been selected as Rhode Island’s top workers’ compensation lawyer for employees. Accordingly, various organizations have asked Michael to lecture other attorneys in Rhode Island and other states. Moreover, his peers have recognized his expertise in the legal field by appointing him to serve in many leadership positions, including, but not limited to, President of the following organizations: Rhode Island Bar Association, the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association, the Rhode Island Bar Foundation, and the New England Bar Association. His esteemed reputation prompted the Rhode Island Supreme Court to appoint him to serve on its Disciplinary Board, as well as its Board of Bar Examiners.
